Bank Director's annual bank performance scorecard includes six criteria related to profitability, capital adequacy and asset quality. The magazine ranks banks and thrifts with assets of more than $3 billion, and publishes a list of the top 150. The measurement criteria and analysis are compiled by Sandler O'Neill & Partners, L.P., a New York-based investment banking firm that specializes in the financial services industry. The scorecard features the institutions that maintain top standing in good times and bad.

"The day I began my banking career I told the staff we were going to build the best bank in Arkansas. Over the past thirty years we have achieved that goal. To be ranked as the 12th best bank in America validates our accomplishments and puts us within sight of being considered the best bank in America," commented George Gleason, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer.

Bank Director is the premier magazine written for senior officers and directors of financial institutions, credit unions, insurance companies and investment advisors. Since its inception in 1991, Bank Director has become recognized as an essential resource for the top decision makers in the financial industry. The Bank Performance Scorecards highlighting America's Best Banks appear in the 1st Quarter 2009 edition of the magazine.
